High School Microscope, Protozoan Book, Slides

This microscope package includes a high school microscope, protozoan handbook with activities and educational material, and biology prepared slides. The Richter Optica HS1 high school microscope is popular due to its cool LED light, the ability to operate the microscope cordless or corded, and the built-in mechanical stage. The teaching handbook includes student worksheets, drawings and information on protists and protozoans including illustrations.

• Objective Lenses: DIN 4x, 10x, 40xR objectives are achromatic, parfocalled, parcentered, color coded. 45° inclined viewing head rotates 360° for easy repositioning, sharing by more than one student.
  Eyepieces: Widefield 10x eyepiece, FN18.

  Specimen Stage: Large 120mm x 110mm stage, with locked-on, spring mounted stage clips, drilled and tapped to accept optional mechanical stage. The mechanical stage helps to maneuver slides easier, providing 2 knobs for X-Y control. 
  Focusing: Rack & pinion coarse focus with tension adjustment, separate fine focus. Tension adjustment eliminates stage drift. Safety rack stop prevents damage to slides and objective lenses.
  Condenser: disc diaphragm condenser.
  Illumination: LED illumination with on/off switch with intensity control. The HS-1M student microscope has 3 LED lights beneath the stage rated up to 100,000 hours life, cool burning illumination that far surpasses the light of a standard 20 watt tungsten bulb. Cordless microscope runs on rechargeable batteries (included) and includes auto cut-off recharger. Microscope can be plugged in and run off the 100~240V recharger.

Some of the worksheets include protist cut-outs, Amoeba reproduction, how to prepare wet mount slides and a microscope mystery puzzle. Illustrations of Protists, Daphnia, Hydra, Amoeba, Paremecium, Volvox and Stentor are included in the book.
