Aurox

Aurox designs and manufactures fast, versatile confocal spinning disk fluorescence microscopy instruments. Aurox invented and patented the structured illumination spinning disk confocal which is the enabling technology for laser free confocal microscopy.

Four distinguished scientists with over a century of combined experience in confocal microscopy, who worked in the University of Oxford's Scanning Optical Microscopy group, launched Aurox in 2004. Aurox created innovative confocal imaging systems from 2004-2017, which they marketed through original equipment manufacturer partners including Zeiss that catered to the materials, life sciences, and medical industries. Since 2017, Aurox has mostly concentrated on the area of life science research.

The foundation of all Aurox products is their unique Laser Free Confocal Imaging technology, which guarantees less photo-bleaching and photo-toxicity for the researcher's priceless samples. These systems are less expensive to buy and more simple to install and maintain because they are free from the limitations seen in costly laser systems. Therefore, costly servicing contracts are not necessary.
