ZEISS Used AxioZoom V16 Microscope System

The ZEISS AxioZoom V16 is an apochromatic on-axis zoom microscope (16:1 zoom range) that allows efficient image capture to speed up your quantitative analysis. This system was used over the course for about a year for customer demonstrations. The optics are fully functional, and the system has been cleaned.

• Objective Lenses:
  • Plan NeoFluar Z 1.0x/0.25, Free WD = 114mm
  • Plan Apo Z 0.5x/0.125, Free WD = 60mm
    
• Viewing Head: Trinocular head inclined 15º with a manual switch for directing all light to either the camera or the eyepieces .
• Eyepieces: Widefield 10x / 23 focusing eyepieces.
• Total Magnification:
  • With Plan Apo Z 0.5x objective, zoom range = 3.5x-56x, 66 to 4.1mm viewing field.
  • With Plan NeoFluar Z 1.0x objective, zoom range = 7x - 112x, 33 to 2.0mm viewing field.
    
• Focusing: Coaxial coarse and fine focusing. Has button pair for accelerated focusing. Has button for reproducing one focus position or selection of rotation orientation. Has another button pair for accelerated zooming or changing between given zoom steps to reproduce positions with digital accuracy.
  
• Stage: Transillumination base measures 322mm x 373mm (12.7" x 14.7").
  
• Microscope Body: Has motorized aperture diaphragm with a scroll wheel and includes user interface systems for operating the various controls. There are 3 variable control modes available:
  • "Brightness" mode delivers maximum image brightness with 10x eyepieces.
  • "Camera" mode has constant brightness and resolution along zoom range fitted to a high-resolution image sensor.
  • "Eyepiece" mode for large depth of field in lower zoom range.
• Illumination:
  • Illuminator for fluorescence: X-Cite Xylis XT720S has a wavelength range of 360-770nm.
    
  • Transillumination base has 90 white LED lights providing transmitted light and a 3-position turret with the following 3 modes: (1) Bright field and oblique contrast by shiftable diaphragm, (2) Homogeneous bright field with 67mm diaphragm, and (3) All-side dark field.
• Filter sets: Includes 3 filter sets for fluorescence microscopy:
  • GFP Shift free: Band pass filter with Excitation 470/40, Emission 525/50
  • Cy3: Band pass filter with Excitation 545/25, Emission 605/70
  • Dapi Shift free: Exciter filter with Excitation 365, Band pass Emission 445/50
    
• Camera: Axiocam 705 monochrome camera and 1x camera mount adapter are included. Camera is 5 mp and has the following specifications:
  • Sensor type: Sony CMOS monochrome sensor, 2/3" sensor format wtih 11.1mm image diagonal
  • 2464 x 2056 with a frame rate of 60 frames per second (fps), 30 fps with live image
    
  • Pixel size 3.45µm x 3.45µm
