Metkon Dressing Unit for MICRACUT 152

This Metkon dressing unit is for use with the MICRACUT 152 precision cutter. Blade dressing is important to ensure that cuts are of consistent quality. New wheels must be dressed before use, and older blades should be dressed as required based on the materials being cut. The dressing process removes any smeared matrix metal and exposes the abrasive grain of the cut-off wheel's surface. If the blade is not properly dressed, the pressure required to cut the sample will be higher. Higher pressure leads to higher friction, which will cause more heat while cutting and more potential for sample deformation.
