Protein Crystallography

A good stereo microscope is needed during evaluation of crystallization experiments for distinguishing between amorphous and crystalline specimens. Microscope World has several configurations with a zoom microscope containing a cross-polarizing attachment and at least 10x magnification. Higher magnifications are ideal for easy detection of small microcrystals. Pseudo-darkfield illumination is also used to evaluate crystallization.
