National Optical 450 series dual magnification microscopes have both top and bottom lights. Optional eyepieces may be purchased to achieve different magnifications.
- Objectives (select when ordering): Choose from 1x and 3x objectives OR 2x and 4x objectives. Objectives are parfocalled, parcentered, and achromatic .
- Viewing Head: Fixed binocular viewing head is inclined 45º.
- Eyepieces: Microscope includes widefield 10x eyepieces, which accepts optional (# 965-400-10) 23mm eyepiece reticle. Includes diopter on left side. Interpupillary adjustment from 55mm to 75mm. Additional 15x or 20x eyepieces are available.
- Total Magnification: Either 10x and 30x OR 20x and 40x total magnification. Additional magnifications may be obtained by ordering additional eyepieces. See chart below.
- Specimen Stage: 80mm reversible black/white plastic contrast plate and 80mm frosted glass stage plate, with locked-on stage clips.
- Working Distance: 75mm.
- Focusing: Rack and pinion focusing with slip clutch and tension adjustment. Maximum specimen height is 35mm.
- Illumination: Rechargeable, cordless LED incidental (top) and transmitted (bottom) illumination with base mounted on/off switch. Lights can be used independently of each other.
