The Motic SMZ171-T-LED with Moticam BMH4000x zoom digital stereo microscope includes a camera with an attached HD monitor for the easy display of images.
- Objective Lens: 0.75x - 5x zoom built-in objective provides continuous magnification. Zoom ratio of 6.7:1.
- Eyepieces: Includes a pair of widefield 10x eyepieces, FN23. Additional eyepieces (widefield 15x/ FN16 or 20x/ FN13) are available for purchase below. Eyepieces are 45° inclined and have dual diopter adjustments and interpupillary adjustment from 52mm to 75mm.
- Viewing head: Trinocular head and all optics have an anti-fungus treatment applied to them. Viewing head rotates 360°. Height of eyepoint is 405mm. Trinocular light split is 50:50 camera: eyepieces.
- Total Magnification: Please view the magnification chart below for full zoom range. SMZ-171 zoom microscope has 5 click-stops within the continuous zoom to allow for exact reproduction of magnifications for precise measurement. 10x eyepieces are included. Additional eyepieces are available for purchase below.

- Stand: Post stand has built-in transmitted and reflected LED illumination. A reversible black/ white stage plate and a frosted stage plate are included.
- Working Distance: 110mm working distance can be changed with a variety of ESD safe auxiliary objectives that are available for purchase separately. See the magnification table below for options.
- Focusing: Large dual focusing knobs with slip clutch to prevent damage to mechanism. Tension adjustment eliminates focus 'drift'.
- Illumination: 3W LED intensity controlled incident and transmitted illumination. Main power supply is 100V~240V, UL Approved.
- Camera: 8 megapixel camera has 1/2.8" CMOS sensor and HDMI (4K) resolution of 30 frames per second (fps) @ 3840 x 2160. Camera is connected through HDMI to the HD screen and through USB to a mouse. Images can be captured in JPEG/TIFF format with 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) to a SD card.
- Software: Includes Motic Images Plus 3.1 for Windows/ MacOS. On-board software has the following features:
