This nosepiece is used for measuring the surface roughness of flat surfaces. The flat surface nosepiece is intended for use with standard and retractable drive unit types of the Mitutoyo SJ-210 and SJ-310 series of surface roughness testers. This is not compatible with transverse tracing drive unit models.
