Metkon FORCIPOL102 with FORCIMAT52

The Metkon FORCIPOL 102 with the FORCIMAT 52 Automatic Head is designed for grinding and polishing metallographic samples. Three wheel sizes are available for the unit: 200, 250, or 300 mm. Choose from a PVC or an aluminum wheel. The aluminum wheel is more rigid than PVC and therefore produces samples with more planarity.

The FORCIMAT 52 Automatic head has a sample holder (ordered separately) that can prepare up to 6 samples simultaneously. The samples are prepared using pneumatically applied individual force, and the magnitude of the force applied may be adjusted from the front panel. A variety of sample holders are available with diameters between 25 and 50 mm or 1 and 2 inches. NOTE: A sample holder is required for the operation of the machine but is not included in this system.

Included with the system are a splash guard, paper ring, cover for the wheel, and a plexiglass shield. The following consumables are included: a set of 100 grinding papers with various grits, 5 assorted polishing cloths, and diamond suspensions (1 µm and 6 µm) and lubricant.
