Cargille Mineralogy and Geology heavy liquid set #2 includes thirteen liquids from the Organic Series of heavy liquids. These liquids are used by Gemologists and Mineralogists to easy and quickly identify or classify specimens. The organic liquids in this set are miscible with most organic solvents and are used when working with water soluble materials. On the low density end, the liquids are stable and nontoxic. Liquids on the higher density end are halogenated organic compounds and must be handled with care taking precautions to avoid inhalation or contact. Densities range from 1.00 - 3.31 gm/cc
