The BWHS-3D is a basic beer brewing / wine making digital brightfield microscope for viewing bacteria and yeast. This model has cool LED illumination and a mechanical stage and provides 1000x magnification. The USB digital camera includes software for image capture and viewing and live image on the computer.
- Objective Lenses: Achromat 4x, 10x, 40xs, 100xs oil objectives are parfocalled, parcentered, color coded and mounted in reverse facing quadruple nosepiece. 30° inclined viewing head rotates 360° making it easy to share by more than one student.
- Eyepieces: Widefield 10x eyepieces, FN18. Eyepiece can be fitted with a 19mm diameter reticle. Call for info on reticle retaining ring.
- Total Magnification: 40x, 100x, 400x, 1000x
- Specimen Stage: Large 125mm x 115mm stage, with built-in mechanical stage. Mechanical stage provides X-Y movement.
- Focusing: Rack & pinion coarse focus with tension adjustment, separate fine focus. Coarse focus knob control moves the stage up or down. Fine focus moves 0.2mm per rotation.
- Condenser: Abbe NA 1.25 condenser with iris diaphragm and filter holder for 32mm filter.
- Illumination: 2W LED illumination with on/off switch with intensity control. Microscope is voltage sensing 100~240. Microscope includes recharger and can be run corded or cordless, but does not include the rechargeable batteries.
- Digital Camera: Includes 5.1 megapixel digital camera, pixel size 2.0µm, sensor size 1/2.8", 20fps @ 2592 x 1944, 40fps @ 1296 x 972, with output for USB3.
- Software: Functions and features include view, capture and make measurements of images directly from your microscope. Basic capture and measure functions are compatible for PC, MAC, or Linux.
- Software Calibration: Calibrating your software with the microscope requires use of a stage micrometer. When ordering please select this option if you do not already have a stage micrometer. The stage micrometer included if ordered has a dual ruler with scales of 1mm / 100 divisions and 10mm / 100 divisions. If NIST certification is selected 10 points will be certified. Please note that NIST certification takes approximately 2 weeks.
- Cord Holder: Cord holder located on the back of the microscope to store the power cord when not in use.
